A well-known and widely respected harpist recognized for her attentive playing, quick adaptability and musicianship, Susan Knapp Thomas has enjoyed an active performance career with orchestras in both the north and the south. Ms. Thomas is Principal Harpist for the Hartford Symphony, and for the Waterbury Symphony in Connecticut. In Florida, she performs actively with the Orlando Philharmonic, Space Coast Symphony, Southwest Florida and Palm Beach Symphonies and has served as Acting Principal Harp for Brevard Symphony Orchestra in Melbourne, Florida.

Ms. Thomas' service fees include a private consultation with you, her client, to ascertain how to best suit your needs. Ms. Thomas' consultations are held at her home, where she can play selections for you from a vast repertoire of popular and classical music, and discuss the fine points of timing and placement. If you prefer ensemble, harp and flute is an elegant and familiar combination. For a fuller sound, flute, harp and cello are also available. Ms. Thomas has also worked with violinists, vocalists and trumpeters if you would like to custom design an ensemble. Anything is possible!
